Tropical St. John

St. John is one of four islands that make up the United States Virgin Islands. With an international reputation of pristine beaches, spellbinding turquoise water, and perfect weather, it is no wonder more than two million people make their way to experience the islands each year.

In addition to the incredible environment of St. John, there is also the cultural and artistic side. Of course, St. John would be nothing without the bronzed skinned people who welcome guests warmly. With such diversity, St. John Island is truly a magnificent place to visit, a tropical paradise if you will.

St. John, Virgin Islands This enchanted island is unrivaled when it comes to natural beauty. Approximately 3,500 people call St. John home, living in beautiful homes, or charming villas. Measuring 22 square miles, this particular Caribbean island boasts a magnificent national park, and the most unspoiled views in the entire Caribbean. Covered with spectacular vegetation, you will enjoy vivid colors and wonderful fragrances from the many flowers and plants growing on the island. Again, the beaches are white and soft, lining perfect water that is ideal for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, and boating.

St. John has perfect weather, averaging 82 degrees with just a five-degree variation between the summer and winter months. The nights are simply magical, even in the winter. In addition, the climate on St. John is dry and on occasion, rain will provide a cooling shower over the island although storms rarely last longer than a day. Because of this, people can enjoy this tropical oasis any time of the year, knowing the climate will be perfect. Because it is warm and dry, when visiting, be sure to wear cool clothing, typically shorts, tee shirts, or summer dresses. Keep in mind that when dining in St. John, restaurants never require a coat and tie so even the finest restaurants are casual and comfortable.

In all, St. John features 35 restaurants, which range from sophisticated restaurants to trendy and funky beachside cafes. Once the sun goes down, the entire island comes to life. The restaurants become romantic, torches light pathways, the beach transforms into a cozy retreat, and the nightclubs fill the air with the rhythm and soul of music. During the day, you can enjoy water sports as mentioned, along with sailing, horseback riding, tennis, waterskiing, parasailing, golf, or hiking.

The island of St. John is one of those places that is simply too hard to describe in words. The environment is exceptional, providing a lifetime of positive memories. The majority of people that visit this Virgin Island agree that it is the best, promising to return. From the minute you arrive on the island, you will be mesmerized. The vegetation is magnificent green, the ocean as blue as blue can be, and the experience something special, a trip to cherish.
