	Click photo to view              Location. The Sand Dollar Condominium Resort overlooks the warm waters of the Caribbean in Kralendijk, Bonaire. Bonaire is a divers paradise. Virtually untouched by development, the island offers some of the best diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean. Also popular with bird-watchers, flamingos nearly outnumber humans on the island. Around 200 species of birds exist on the island, including pelicans, parrots, herons and hummingbirds. Unlike other islands that are surrounded by coral reefs, Bonaire actually is the reef. The Kaya Grandi offers jewelry, leather, liquors and tobaccos at around half the price one would find in the United States, and there are several clothing and gift shops on the island. There are two casinos on the island, and several bars offer evening entertainment.
Hotel Features. The resort offers an outdoor pool flanked by Eddy's, a restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. Den Laman is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers views of the water. Barbeque grills are located waterfront for guest use and there is an ice-cream parlor adjacent the resort. Also adjacent are a convenience store, a bank with 24-hour ATM, a day spa and a souvenir shop. The multilingual staff can assist with business services. Guestrooms. The resort offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom oceanfront apartments with balconies. Kitchens feature refrigerators, ranges, breakfast bars and microwave ovens. In-room safes and cable television are standard, and wireless Internet access is available. Expert Tip. Rincon is the islands oldest village, featuring a parlor offering homemade ice cream, a couple bars and some petroglyphs on a trail outside of town.
