Consisting of a pair of 19th- century palazzos at the intersection of two quiet, narrow streets, the Hotel Trevi is set back from the crowds going to and from Rome's famous Trevi Fountain, 100 metres away. Rome's Fiumicino Airport is 30 kilometres away, while Ciampino Airport is 24 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Because virtually no pedestrians use the streets outside the hotel, guests can relax in peace on wrought-iron benches flanked by potted plants. The top-floor roof garden, where American buffet breakfasts are served, is another quiet haven. The roof garden's floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of terracotta tiled rooftops and a partial view of Italy's presidential residence, Palazzo dei Quirinale. Guestrooms. Città dell' Acqua, an archaeological site adjacent to the hotel, is an underground excavation of ancient Roman residences. A 2 EUR entrance fee (subject to change) permits a visitor to go on a self-guided tour up and down metal stairs to see how Romans once lived. Amphorae, statute parts, and other artifacts found on the site are displayed.
